Bastards of Young (The Replacements)

from Telephone Sessions Mixtape by Michael J. Karlin and the Parade of Horribles

/

about

I first heard this song from the cover version that Against Me! did on the Replacement's tribute record. From there I went and started digging through the Replacement's catalog, and this still remains one of my favorites of theirs. This song really nails the sentiment of the post-college years in life where one is trying to figure out what your supposed to be doing. This one took quite a few takes, as I wasn't happy with how certain parts were sounding. This one isn't perfect, but surely was the best of them all.
